Dragi tovariši in prijatelji!
Najprej so tu šefi.
Potem so tu še najemodajalci.
In končno, tu so še policija in varnostniki. Vsak dan nas ustavljajo in ponižujejo na ulicah, nadlegujejo, pretepajo in nam brez razloga izrekajo globe. Vsak dan policija deportira tuje delavce, ki so jih njihovi šefi prevarali in jim preklicali vizume.
Jutri boste to morda vi.
Tukaj smo!

ENG:
Dear comrades and friends!
Five years ago on this day, our old headquarters was destroyed and our organisation was thrown on the streets. At that time, many people didn’t care, because the actions of the police and the city didn’t affect them. But our message was clear: this is not just about us, it is about all the working class people in Ljubljana. If the situation doesn’t change, life here will become impossible for everybody who isn’t rich. Today it is us, but maybe tomorrow you will be the one who ends up on the streets.
Today in 2026, everybody can see that Ljubljana has a serious problem with inequality. The city can welcome thousands of tourists, but it can’t welcome the workers who build the homes, who cook, clean, deliver and produce for this city. If you are just coming here to enjoy a weekend, every door is open, but if you need to live here and provide for your family, the rich owners of the city will let you know that you are not welcome.
First it’s the bosses. No matter how hard you work, they refuse to pay more than the minimum salary or give you a longer contract. Of course they know that with the minimum salary you can’t survive in this expensive city, even if it will be 1000 euros. We can’t even pay our rent and bills, let alone support our children and plan a future. In this way, they force us to work more hours, and many of us are driving for Wolt or Uber in the evenings after our regular work, just so we can make it to the end of the month.
Then it’s the landlords. If you want to live anywhere close to your job, you will pay at least 500 euros for a room, and more than a thousand if you are a family. In this way, the landlords who never work, eat up half the salaries of working people! They know that we have no choice but to pay, because there are not enough rooms in Ljubljana, and with our short contracts and low salaries, we can never get credit to buy our own homes. So we are trapped in this system, working just to stay in their old decaying buildings.
But it is also the city leadership. Instead of building homes for workers and students, they build expensive hotels and fancy public halls. And instead of helping us to survive, they raise the prices of kindergarten, public transport, parking, communal services and everything else that workers need. Before we can even start the month, our 1000 euros are already finished.
And finally, it’s the police and security guards. Every day they stop and humiliate us on the streets, harass us, beat us and hand us fines for no reason. Every day, the police deport foreign workers who were cheated by their bosses and got their visa’s cancelled. Every day, asylum seekers are being threatened with deportations to another country. Every day, racists attack minorities on the street, only to find support from the police. Instead of protecting workers from the landlords, bosses and racists, the police only reinforce their power over us.
So today, our message stays the same: this kind of crazy system is not sustainable! Every year we can see with our own eyes, how the growing inequality is destroying lives. As Ljubljana gets richer, more people are poor, more people are homeless, more people are struggling. And the only answer the leadership has for this is “more police, more security, more deportations and more repression.” Today it is not just minorities who are feeling the pressure – more and more working class people are dealing with the same kind of social violence. Tomorrow, it could be you.
If we have learned one thing in these past years, it’s that the rich will not stop until somebody forces them to stop. And this “somebody” can only be us – the people who live and work in Ljubljana, who have made it their home and have no other place to go. Don’t wait around for some solution to drop from the sky – join the organised struggle today and lets fight for a dignified future together! Tukaj smo!
